Here are some of the best Android apps to sell photos.
1. FOAP
FOAP is a popular photo marketplace which is graced by both pro photographers and amateurs from around the world. The marketplace is huge, and the collection is robust. Here you will also find some of the biggest brands in the world looking for images that they can use. Even the likes of Bank of America and MasterCard.
The process is simple. Register using your email ID or Facebook credentials and begin uploading photos immediately. Each photo sells for a fixed amount of $10, and you get half of that.
Once inside, you will see an interface that’s similar to Twitter. There are profiles of photographers that you can follow. Looking for inspiration or want to know what kind of photos are doing well? Check out the Explore tab. This is where you will find recently sold snaps.
Finally, there are Missions which pay $100 or more. These are ads by brands with specific needs. It’s like a competition, and the winner takes all. Some missions can fetch you $300 and above.
FOAP is, without doubt, one of the best photo selling apps to have in your arsenal. Did I tell you that it contains no ads and is free to use?
2. DREAMSTIME
Dreamstime takes a different approach and makes the process a bit complicated. Instead of creating one app for buyers and sellers alike, Dreamstime has created two. One for brands/people looking to buy photos and one for photographers looking to sell pictures.
For some reason, the app gets renamed to Companion after installation. Confusing. No social network support either. The layout is fine and they want you to begin uploading photos quickly. You can’t follow other photographers because that feature is available on the other app.
There are three tabs. First one is for your uploaded images. The second one will take you to your gallery to add more photos, and the third one will show pending ones that are yet to be approved.

3. SNAPWIRE
Snapwire works similar to how FOAP operates. There is an active community of buyers and sellers. Apart from a direct marketplace, there are Challenges which allow participants to make even more money for their creativity.
Snapwire has incorporated gamification into the app to push you to click better photos. As you continue to add photos and make money, your level will increase. As you level up, you can receive direct requests from brands interested in your portfolio.

If an image is sold via Request or Challenge, you get to keep 70% of the amount. Otherwise you earn 50% from the one sold in the marketplace.
While creating your profile, you can choose your style which is basically the category for your photos. You can choose up to 10 Styles like art, buildings, and so on.
4. SHUTTERSTOCK CONTRIBUTOR
ShutterStock is a very popular brand that is synonymous with the word photography. It has a contributor program for budding enthusiasts and pro photographers. You will have to sign up for an account online as the app has no option for it.
Unlike some of the apps we saw earlier, there is no way to follow other photographers and engage in any kind of social activity. App is simple to use with a clean UI. Just upload the images, track their progress, and the amount you earn.
The website offers more ways to explore the platform and keep track of other stats as well as options like referral programs. Insights is where you get to track your photos and understand how well they have been performing.
5. CLASHOT
Clashot made it to our list because they actually send out requests for the kind of photos that buyers and brands are looking for. This is a major plus because if you are someone who is looking to make money by selling photos, these notifications can save your time.
Clashot is owned by Depositphotos which is another widely used photography marketplace. You take amazing photos, upload them, and wait for someone to buy them. The actual sale price of your photos will vary from buyer to buyer, but you will get 44% of the selling price.
It has an Instagram like interface where you can follow other photographers and check their updates.
